The HydraFacial® Back Treatment — often referred to as a ‘back facial’ — is an advanced skin-conditioning therapy designed to target one of the most neglected yet problematic areas of the body. This medical-grade resurfacing treatment combines lymphatic drainage, clinical-grade exfoliation, extraction, and serum infusion to purify, balance, and rejuvenate the skin on the back and shoulders.

Tailored to your skin’s specific needs, it delivers an intense dose of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid while utilising dual-mode LED light therapy to clear congestion, accelerate healing, and soothe muscular tension.

How HydraFacial® Back Treatments Work

Each HydraFacial® Back Treatment follows a six-stage protocol, adapted with larger treatment tips to efficiently treat the full back and shoulders.

1. Lymphatic Detox / Drainage
A dedicated lymphatic drainage stage is performed first. Using controlled suction and directional massage, we stimulate the lymphatic system to increase microcirculation and encourage the natural removal of fluid retention, waste and toxins from the tissues. This step helps to de-puff, clear stagnation, and prime the skin so it responds better to the rest of the treatment.

2. Deep Cleanse & Exfoliation
Dead skin cells, sweat build-up, SPF residue and impurities are lifted from the surface to create a clean base. This is a physical exfoliation step using a textured tip and gentle water pressure.

3. Brightening Peel
A targeted blend of glycolic acid and salicylic acid is applied to chemically exfoliate, loosen congestion within the pores, refine texture and visibly brighten dull or uneven areas across the back.

4. Extraction & Decongestion
HydraFacial®’s vortex suction technology is then used to extract blackheads, oil plugs and debris from the pores. This step is key for treating back and shoulder acne, congestion and inflammation.

5. Hydration Infusion
We infuse a concentrated serum containing hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and peptides. This restores moisture, supports barrier function, helps calm inflammation and delivers an anti-ageing benefit to the skin on the back — an area that’s often dehydrated and untreated.

6. LED Light Therapy
Dual-wavelength LED therapy is used to finish. Blue light targets breakout-causing bacteria and supports clarity, while red light soothes redness, encourages repair and stimulates collagen production. This also helps reduce tension, aches and general discomfort in the treated area.

What to Expect

Just like the signature HydraFacial® for the face, the back treatment delivers immediate, noticeable results. Using a larger applicator to cover the back efficiently, the skin is deeply cleansed, exfoliated, and detoxified before infusion with potent hydrating serums.

After extractions and hydration, LED therapy is applied to calm inflammation and promote repair.
Mild pinkness may occur post-treatment and will subside quickly, revealing skin that feels smoother, clearer, and visibly more refined.
