Contour & Define

The mid-face naturally loses volume and definition as we age, often creating a flatter, more tired or sunken appearance. Cheek filler at our Manchester clinic can restore this lost volume, enhance the cheekbones and create a fresher, more lifted look. It can also add beautifully balanced definition where natural contours are less prominent.

Ageing brings gradual changes to the skin, bone structure and underlying fat pads. As facial support reduces, the tissues may begin to descend, contributing to skin laxity, jowling, deeper nasolabial folds and a loss of youthful fullness through the mid-face. Genetics, weight fluctuations, lifestyle and environmental factors can also influence these changes.

Whether your goal is subtle rejuvenation or more sculpted definition, your journey at Nassif MedSpa begins with a personalised consultation. Our experts will assess your facial structure, proportions and natural contours before creating a bespoke treatment plan. Every treatment is approached with precision and artistry, whether the aim is to restore lost volume, define the cheekbones or balance facial asymmetry.

Treatment involves carefully placing small amounts of hyaluronic acid dermal filler along the cheek and cheekbone. This can enhance projection, support the surrounding tissues and create a smoother, more lifted appearance. Restoring volume through the mid-cheek may also improve the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek, helping to soften the appearance of under-eye hollows and shadows in suitable patients.

Following treatment, avoid touching or placing pressure on the area for at least six hours. You should also avoid vigorous exercise and extremes of heat or cold for the period advised by your practitioner. Full aftercare guidance will be provided to support a safe and successful result.

FAQs

Cheek fillers can help to effectively restore volume to the midface area when ageing has caused volume loss and skin laxity. In addition to replacing the substances that once provided a full and lifted look, cheek fillers can work with the facial structure to enhance naturally weaker cheekbones. A pre-treatment assessment will determine your suitability for this treatment.

This treatment is performed using dermal fillers injected into various points in the mid-face area. Dermal fillers are CE-marked medical devices with a long safety record, specially formulated to work with the skin's tissues and underlying structure. Nassif MedSpa ensures its injectable treatments are performed by talented and experienced injectors who have been specially trained to perform these procedures safely.

Having an injectable treatment can put some people in doubt, often worried about how  painful it will be. Everyone has a different level of tolerance and this may be no different for an injectable treatment, such as cheek fillers. At Nassif MedSpa, you can have a topical numbing cream applied before the treatment, helping to minimise any discomfort you may feel.

The immediate after-effects from this treatment will commonly include swelling, redness and bruising. There may also be some slight aching and itching. These effects are temporary and will often have disappeared within 24 hours, with any bruising being easily covered using make-up. The risk of developing other complications is very low, and these will be explained during your initial consultation, which may include: lumpiness under the skin, infection or patches of skin discolouration.

As a non-invasive procedure, cheek fillers do not often cause a great deal of downtime. From a medical perspective taking the day off is not necessary, however, many patients do this by way of preference. You should still be able to carry out your usual daily activities after having cheek fillers, but it is important to follow any after care instructions that you are given.
