As we get older collagen and elastin is lost from the skin which leads to facial concerns, including: lines and wrinkles, sagging skin and facial volume loss. The non-surgical face lift, or LA Liquid Lift, is a versatile treatment that combines applying dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections to various areas of the face. Anti-wrinkle injections can improve the look of wrinkles that are caused by facial movement (such as crow’s feet forehead lines, smile lines and upper lip lines), whereas dermal fillers smooth the look of creases in weakened skin. So, it is important that the right technique is used in order to achieve a successful outcome.

Dermal fillers can also be applied to areas of the face where volume loss has taken effect, such as around the jawline, cheeks and lips for a fuller, firmer appearance. As hyaluronic acid is also contained within dermal fillers, the skin’s hydration gets a boost for a softer texture and a brighter look.

Dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections are safe and effective treatments which are popular anti-ageing methods, used in many countries throughout the world. Having undergone much research and development over the years, the products used in this treatment work well with the natural tissues within the skin’s structure, rarely causing complications. You will be given the opportunity to have a topical numbing cream applied prior to the treatment. This will be administered approximately 20 – 30 minutes in advance and will help to alleviate any discomfort that may be experienced. This treatment is typically found to be fairly comfortable for most patients, but this can depend on your own level of tolerance. An injection can feel slightly uncomfortable as it enters the skin, but the use of fine needles helps to reduce this sensation.

Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising at the injection sites are the most common side effects and usually settle within a few days. Rarer risks, including lumps, asymmetry, infection and vascular occlusion, will be explained fully at your consultation, and our practitioners are trained to recognise and manage them.

Most patients return to their day straight away. Some swelling, tenderness or bruising at the treated areas is possible and usually settles within a few days. We advise avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, heat and other facial treatments for 24 hours.
