Dermal fillers are CE-marked medical devices that are considered a safe and effective method of enhancing your facial features. Every patient is given the opportunity to have a topical numbing cream applied to the treatment area, 20 – 30 minutes beforehand. This will help to minimise any sensitivity that the injections may produce. However, treatments of this nature are always carried out using the finest of needles as this keeps any trauma to a minimum. The nose may feel tender following the procedure, with some redness, itching and swelling lasting for a few hours. In some rare cases a person finds that the filler ‘migrates’ – meaning it moves from the area where it was originally placed – occasionally settling under the eyes or another region of the nose. Dermal fillers are a temporary product that will eventually dissolve, however if the results are not satisfactory then the filler can be dissolved sooner.

Patients typically experience very little downtime following a non-surgical nose job. Once the initial swelling has eased you should be able to continue with your day as normal. Aftercare instructions for up to 6 hours following the procedure includes: avoiding unnecessary pressure / touching the nose, avoiding extreme hot and cold temperatures, avoiding strenuous exercise and leaning over or lying down.
